The Kokopelli

The most requested casita at The Triangle Inn, the Kokopelli is a romantic one bedroom. Built in the 1940's, this room was first used as an artist's studio with a wonderful piece by the artist hanging in the living room.

Photo of Kokopelli InteriorCasita 3 has a small private courtyard, partially shaded by a large peach tree, brick patio and outdoor dining area and is surrounded by coyote fencing. You enter into a large, multi-level room with high beamed ceiling and dormer windows. To your right is a small kitchenette with two-burner stove, sink and half fridge. To the left is a roomy dining area with Mexican table and chairs. Off the hallway, which leads to the living area, is the bath with a walk-in shower.

You enter the main living area through an archway. The living and sleeping areas share a very large room, and are separated by a half wall. The living side has a kiva fireplace, southwestern style couch and chair, and TV/VCR and stereo hidden in a handmade Mexican cabinet. The sleeping side has a queen bed, armoire and window seat over looking the peach tree. The entire room features a high square beamed ceiling, skylight, hand-plastered walls, and tile inset floors.

This room combines the ultimate in space, privacy, and authentic New Mexican details.
