menu The Pinon House

Outside PatioThe largest of the casitas at The Triangle Inn, The Pinon House is the original main house erected on the compound. Built in the 1920's in traditional, New Mexican style with adobe bricks, hand plastered walls and large viga ceiling beams, the room was extensively renovated in 1998 retaining all its original charm and detail.

You enter through a large adobe walled courtyard featuring a large apple tree, brick patio, and an outdoor seating area with grill and freestanding fireplace.Interior Shot The front door opens into the brick-floored kitchen, which has full size appliances, and a dining area overlooking the apple tree. It is fully equipped with microwave, cookware and utensils. The living room is unusually large with hardwood floors, fireplace, sitting area, writing desk and entertainment armoire; it is furnished in a southwestern ranch style. The master bedroom has a luxurious king bed, built-in closet and western style dresser. BedroomThe second bedroom is on the opposite side of the living room and is entered through a pueblo style entrance (in essence a large window). It has been whimsically painted by a local well-known artist to resemble an Anaszai cave dwelling, complete with petroglyphs. This room is furnished with a queen bed and large built-in closet. The spacious bathroom, which can be entered either through the kitchen or master bedroom, has a double sink and large walk-in tiled shower with banco.

This casita is ideal for longer stays, couples or families traveling together, those who like to cook, or as a meeting place for large groups staying at the Inn.
